Coverage of costs by health insurance companies

The costs for psychotherapeutic non-medical practitioner services are generally not covered by statutory health insurance companies. You are therefore a self-payer in my private practice and must pay the costs of a session yourself and in full. If you wish, it is often possible for private health insurance companies, supplementary insurance companies or state aid to cover the costs. This depends on the insurance conditions and the selected insurance tariffs. Please clarify this with your insurance company in advance.

Tax deductible

Fees for psychotherapeutic treatments can be claimed on the income tax return as “special expenses.” According to a judgment by the FG Münster (AZ: 3 K 2845/02 E), psychotherapeutic treatment costs are also to be recognized as “extraordinary burdens” if they have been invoiced by private therapists or private clinics.

Social tariff

It is important to me that psychotherapy be made available to as many people as possible. Therefore, I offer a social tariff for people who are dependent on financial support (e.g. in the form of unemployment benefits/“Bürgergeld”), as well as for students without their own income or parental support. Please ask me about it when you make an appointment, and we will find a solution together.

Accessibility

My practice is located on the third floor and unfortunately is currently not completely barrier-free. There is an elevator, but it is not big enough for a wheelchair. I am happy to come to your home if necessary. Please note the travel costs incurred.
